![]() ![]() The popular “massive landing platform” from our friends down under is about 1:100 scale. įFG uses a sliding scale for moisture vaporators, the escape pod, and the Imperial bunker terrain pieces. If this seems a bit troubling to you, given how nicely scaled all our figures and current units are, don’t forget that when it comes to buildings, and how we lay out the map, you are already using a sliding scale. For very large vehicles, like the Falcon or AT-ATs, we may go as small as 70% and still “look and feel” appropriate without overwhelming the map.įinally if you are willing to cut up your models and toys and make them into wrecks, you’ll find an even broader range of scales can work. For parked space fighters and such, we want to have them be at a slightly smaller scale, 80-90% relative to the troopers. When applied to Legion a sliding scale this simply means that for most ground vehicles we want to stay close to 100% 1:48 scale. This is the same technique used by Lucasfilm when making their sets for filming the movies! What is a sliding scale? Basically the larger the vehicle, the more the scale is squeezed down to make it fit on the table. in practice a so-called ‘sliding scale’ for terrain and ships seems to work best. Legion’s scale is generally recognized to be 1:48. Please, please, please contribute models and toys that are not in this list, by sending me message on Discord to CaptainRocket#6888, Facebook to Cappy Roquet, or posting on the FFG community thread here ! Scale matters … from a certain point of view There are many scattered threads that contain some of this info, and some wonderful websites that are databases of models or toys, but I was not able to find a one-stop resource for Legion players. This document is an attempt to create a comprehensive resource for all toys and vehicles that can be used with Star Wars Legion by FFG as terrain or as proxies for new units. “Whenever you hold a ruler up to Star Wars you are going to be disappointed.”
